Spade "S" Steel Anchor

We did a lot of research before deciding on a Spade for our 20 ft Rossiter day cruiser. The galvanized steel Spade comes up tops on pretty much every test, but what really sold us was the extensive endorsement we found on Attainable Adventure Cruising (focused on sailing/cruising, but a fantastic resource for every kind of boater): https://www.morganscloud.com/2019/03/28/4-vital-anchor-selection-criteria-and-a-review-of-spade/. We originally ordered an S60, which turned out to be too big for our front compartment; Marty at Crafts Cove switched it to an S40 for us, no problem. (More generally, Marty has been wonderful---responsive, super-helpful, etc. Highly recommended business.) The Spade is awesome in every way---super-fast setting, holds tight, resists getting clogged up with debris and is in any case easy to clean (unlike the danforth anchor that came with the boat), not too heavy for a small person like me, and looks good (and cool yellow paint is useful for seeing where it is, especially bringing it up). In fact, we like it so much we have just ordered a second one to use at the back of the boat when we want to double-up.
