Refund policy
Crafts Cove Marine accepts returns within 30 days of purchase. The policy below explains what qualifies for a return and how refunds are issued for orders placed through craftscove.ca.
Starting a return
Contact us before sending anything back. Email info@craftscove.ca or call +1 877-815-8536 with your order number. We will confirm the return address and any handling instructions. Returns sent directly to the manufacturer cannot be processed.
Return eligibility
A returned item must be unused, in the condition it arrived, and in its original packaging. Proof of purchase is required; the order confirmation email is sufficient. Returns are accepted within 30 days. After 30 days, we cannot offer a refund or exchange.
Lithium batteries are a special case. They ship under the dangerous goods rules, so a battery return must be arranged with us rather than dropped off at a courier counter. Gift cards are not returnable.
Refunds
Once the return arrives, we inspect it and email you the outcome. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method. Allow several business days after approval for the credit to appear because posting times vary by card issuer and bank. If a refund seems late, check with your bank first, then your card company. If it still hasn't appeared, write to info@craftscove.ca and we will trace it.
Items that arrive damaged or incorrect
An order that arrives damaged or incorrect is our problem to fix, not yours. For palletized freight, report visible or concealed damage within 48 hours of delivery as set out in our Shipping and Payment policy. For courier parcels, write to us promptly with photographs of the item and its packaging. We will arrange the replacement or refund. If a return shipment is needed due to our error, we cover the transport.
Exchanges
Where an item arrives defective or damaged, we replace it with the same model. Email info@craftscove.ca with the order number and photographs. We will initiate the exchange. A fault that develops later during use is a warranty matter rather than a return. See our Warranty page for how those claims are handled.
Sale items
Sale and clearance items are final sale and are not eligible for refund.
Return shipping
Return shipping for a change of mind is paid by the customer. Original shipping charges are not refunded. For an item worth more than $75, use a trackable service or insure the parcel. We cannot issue a refund for a return that never reaches us.
Your consumer rights
Nothing in this policy limits the rights available to you under the consumer protection legislation of your province or under applicable federal law.
Common refund questions
How long do I have to return an item?
Thirty days from purchase. The item must be unused and in its original packaging, with proof of purchase.
Who pays for return shipping?
For a change of mind, the customer pays. Where the item arrived damaged, or we shipped the wrong product, Crafts Cove Marine covers the return.
How quickly is a refund issued?
Refunds go to the original payment method once the return passes inspection. Banks and card issuers typically take several business days to post the credit.
Can I return a sale item?
No. Sale and clearance items are final sale.
My motor developed a fault after weeks of use. Is that a return?
No, that is a warranty claim. Returns cover unused items and arrival problems; faults that appear during use are handled under the manufacturer's warranty.
